Deep down things: Creative writing in the Garden

Join award winning poet and Shropshire based author Kate Innes for a three hour guided workshop to help your creative shoots emerge and bloom into story or poem.

A garden is a creative zone - full of things burgeoning and becoming - planned and unplanned. You will use garden folklore, mythology, fiction and non-fiction writing prompts to help you discuss and explore the emotional and dramatic potential of gardens, with the opportunity to write a variety of short fiction and/or poetry inspired by these earthly paradises.

From drawing to collage, acrylics and pastels - you’ll have access to a range of materials to help you explore and rediscover the natural world and gain the confidence to reconnect with your natural surroundings.

Su is a visual artist and has worked as a community artist and in arts development.
