From seed, to leaf, to bloom to fruit. Allow local creative Su Barber to guide and reactivate your creativity as you learn how to explore and appreciate the colours, patterns, shapes and textures of the nature that surrounds you. From drawing to collage, acrylics and pastels - you’ll have access to a range of materials to help you explore and rediscover the natural world and gain the confidence to reconnect with your natural surroundings.

Su is a visual artist and has worked as a community artist and in arts development. She is fascinated with the patterns that are formed in nature and is committed to supporting others as they shift their creative blocks too. She also supports mothers through art and remains connected to the essential playful element of ourselves which helps us to see things differently. She loves labyrinths and is happy meandering to unknown creative centre points, finding her way. She recently exhibited her artwork in a group exhibition with the Silver Spoon Collective in Lancaster, dedicated to the healing of the Witch Wound, left by the Burning Times.

Date: Saturday 8 October, 10am – 1pm at Moongate Plant Centre. The workshop is for adults age 14 and above, those studying for art GCSE might enjoy it too.

Cost: £50 (includes refreshments, use of materials and sketchbooks to take home) plus on the day 10% Moongate Plant Centre discount. Please feel free to bring your own sketchbooks and materials if you prefer.
